DATA AND SECURITY

Where does Pixie’s data come from?

Three sources - connected tools, uploaded documents, and your questionnaire responses - all under your control.

Pixie draws on three sources of data, and you decide how much of each you share. The first source is your connected third-party tools. If you use Xero for finance, HubSpot for CRM, Stripe for payments, or LinkedIn for team information, Pixie can connect to these directly and pull the relevant signals. You authorise each connection individually - nothing is accessed without your explicit permission.

The second source is documents you upload. If your numbers live in spreadsheets rather than integrated tools, or if you want to share a business plan or investor deck, you can upload these directly. Pixie extracts the relevant data and incorporates it into your assessment alongside whatever you have connected.

The third source is your questionnaire responses. Some signals cannot be derived from data alone - whether your founding team has navigated a scaling journey before, whether you have a documented growth model, how your board is composed. These come from you, through a structured onboarding process designed to gather exactly the information the benchmarks need.

Your data is processed in a private AI environment on Google Cloud infrastructure. It is encrypted at rest and in transit. It is never used to train AI models, never sold, and never shared with third parties. The broader benchmark evidence base that underpins Pixie's scoring methodology is drawn from research into scaling companies - your personal business data informs only your own score. The two are entirely separate.
